In recent years China’s box-office has been repeatedly touched by the magic of Jon Chiew, a Malaysian movie producer from Kuching. With over 20 years of experience in the film industry, Jon founded Longhouse Films as a local film investment and production house, championing his aspiration and vision of having movies “Proudly Produced in Malaysia by Malaysians for the World,” whilst significantly aiming and advancing the development of the film industry in Malaysia to attain internationally acclaimed movie standards.

He produced the blockbuster hit “Hello, Mr Billionaire” (2018) which generated CNY 2.5billion, making it the 5th highest grossing film in China as of 2018. He also produced “Too Cool To Kill” which generated CNY 2.62billion, making it the highest grossing comedy film of 2022 in China.

Besides, he played the role of producer and VFX-Supervisor for Asian blockbusters such as Warriors of the Rainbow: Seediq Bale I & II (2011), Sophie’s Revenge (2009), and The Rooftop (2013). Foo Sing Choong brings his visual-effects expertise in realistic rendering and digital humans to his role as a Creative Director for Longhouse Films.

Jet Chiew graduated from UniSIM, Singapore with a bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance. Prior to joining Longhouse Films, Jet was in the finance industry for 7 years with Crowe Horwath and Citibank in Singapore.

Coming from a finance background, Jet is equipped with the right management skills along with the experience to back it up. With an igniting passion for the entertainment industry, he has been pursuing the opportunity to create a platform for local talents thus providing a great opportunity for Malaysians; and here it is.
